If you started the day with a casual walk up the mountain and a relaxing soak in the hot pools then you are probably up for a bit more adventure. If there is one thing you can always depend on, it is the wind, which makes for some pretty interesting activity.
A blokart is a three-wheeled land sailor and makes for an adventurous activity where sailing meets the speedway. Wind and skill determine just how fast you go; the speed record in New Zealand for the blokart is about 93km per hour.
The windy summer months see the place buzzing as people of all ages whip around a purpose built track. It is not just about speed either, there is even blokart free-styling which consists of twists, turns, jumps and heaps more!
